I am a Climber at Heart

My life has been defined by movement and the pursuit of perspective, having summited peaks across the planet. These environments taught me resilience, but they also taught me about the profound impact of high-stakes stress and the reality of loss after my mother passed away in a kayaking accident. Through a subsequent experience assisting a hiker in crisis after a fatal mountain accident, I gained first-hand knowledge of how humans respond to immediate tragedy. I’ve always known that movement and the body are inseparable from mental health; we do not just 'think' our way through trauma, we feel our way through it. This is why I became an EMDR therapist. I wanted a scientific, structured approach that respects the healing power of nature while utilizing somatics to release the physiological imprints of trauma.
Why I Chose EMDR

I was drawn to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) because I wanted a scientific, evidence-based approach that offered my clients real tools and a clear clinical roadmap. By utilizing this structured framework, we are able to see the neurological shift as the brain processes traumatic memories into neutral, historical events rather than reactive triggers. I chose this path because I value measurable improvement and results-oriented care. Today, I use this method to help you bridge the gap between understanding your past and physically feeling the relief of true recovery. In addition to my private practice, I am preparing to join R3 Continuum as a contracted provider, delivering on-site crisis management and psychological first aid for organizations across California.
